New Planet?

Astronomers have found hundreds upon hundreds of exoplanets in this universe, but very few seem friendly. Many that have been found are massive, uninhabitable gas giants, but one has piqued public interest because of the fact that it’s a rocky planet in a habitable zone around its star (like our sun). And now some astronomers feel this planet, Kepler 22-b, may indeed have oceans and continents. It is about 600 light years away. It’s extraordinary that we can find this so far away and know so much about them. To travel there now is the problem (haha, but I’m sure it’ll be possible in future). This is exciting news 😀
