Words not pictures

This is a project experimenting using hand drawn calligraphy for an exhibition poster. I designed three posters with the calligraphy and one then without.

The colours I used here are quite bright and feminine but it gave a slightly different feel compared to the elegant poster below.

This poster I chose to give it a more neat and elegant feel. It creates a feel of high standard about the exhibition, where as the other two above are more loose flowing.

This last poster I decided to replace the calligraphy with the font Bell Gothic std and used a star dust image to fill it.
Yellow is a hard colour to use sometimes as you can’t always see it with a white background if too bright, but I used a golden yellow to make the words appear more readable.
